"Intimate pictures of Field Marshal Earl Haig whose sudden and tragic death is mourned by the whole Empire. At the Legion poppy factory".

Haig talking to factory workers. "Reviews South African officers at Albert, where he stemmed the German advance in March 1918". Shaking hands with soldiers lined up along a country road. "Ever active in the service of the country he loved so well". Reviewing Scottish troops. "With Sir James Barrie and Dame Ellen Terry at St Andrews' University, Edinburgh". In academic robes, with Barrie and Ellen Terry. "With the Prince of Wales, leads the Legion to pay homage at the Cenotaph". Marching with members of the Legion, then standing with King George V and Queen Mary as more men file past. "St Columba's Church, Pont Street, where the great soldier lies in state".
