Synopsis

Activities taking place at the International Garden Festival at Dingle in the summer of 1984. Visitors stroll around the festival site, watching the various displays and performances on offer, including dance and puppet shows from different nations and cultures. Extensive shots of the landscape around the site, including constructions such as the Japanese Pavilion and the miniature railway, 'Yellow Submarine', as well as statues, including of John Lennon. An appearance from Worzel Gummidge, the children's television character played by Jon Pertwee. The short version of Not Just Flowers ends with shots of characters from the Magic Roundabout TV series that were created as part of the festival exhibits. On the soundtrack for the duration of the film is a song about the Garden Festival. The unedited version features more extensive (and mute) footage shot of activities and events taking place around the festival site.
