Scene of the unveiling of the monument, designed by Albert H. Hodge, at Mount Wise, Devonport. Many members of the clergy are in attendance, as well as Naval representatives. The monument is unveiled by the Commodore of the Royal Naval Barracks, C.W.R. Royds, who had accompanied Scott on the Discovery expedition of 1901. This is followed by a shot of Kathleen Scott (now Mrs Hilton Young) and Scott's son Peter, who would have been 15 years old. A final shot sees Peter laying a wreath on the memorial.
