Production company formed in 1966 by the enterprising Tony Tenser. It made
some superior horror films, including The Sorcerers (d.
Michael Reeves, 1967), starring Boris Karloff, and the critical and cult favourite, Witchfinder General (d. Reeves, 1968). It also made the comedy, The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins (d. Graham Stark, 1971), the conventional adaptation of Black Beauty (UK/W. Germany/Spain, d. James Hill, 1971) and the television-to-film spin-off, For the Love of Ada (d. Ronnie Baxter, 1972). Tenser reputedly resigned in 1972 because he disliked graphic violence.
