Shadrack is drowning in bills: final demands, bailiff letters, and termination of contract notices. He despairs; he sees death as his only hope.
The Collector, face scarred, dark glasses, calls for Shadrack but there is no response. He settles down to wait. It gets dark.
Shadrack finally turns up at his flat. The Collector gives him 24 hours to settle his bill. Shadrack tells him he is wasting his time as he has no money. The Collector pulls out a large knife and cuts at his own face. He offers Shadrack the knife.
The next morning Shadrack sneaks out of the flat but the Collector is still waiting for him and chases him through the estate. When he catches up with Shadrack they fight. Both pull out knives. The Collector cuts himself on the face and offers the knife to Shadrack. Shadrack stabs himself with his own knife and dies. Then the Collector stabs himself and dies too.
Both Shadrack and the Collector embark on a journey to a place where every question has an answer.
