After energetic sex, Angeline reveals that she has bought tickets for her and Jean-Luc to travel to England through the newly-opened channel tunnel. Meanwhile, Geordie is taking Keith and Jackie, who has a learning disability, to France via the same tunnel.

Walking through the tunnel, the English and French parties' paths cross. The tunnel is suddenly closed, and both Geordie and his boys and the French couple return to a bed and breakfast in an English town on the South Coast. Angeline berates the English: the only good architecture is in the French style, and even the ice-cream is badly made.

Jean-Luc and Angeline's lovemaking is disturbed by the sound of Keith jumping up and down on his bed. Awake and wandering around the hotel, Jean-Luc is astonished to discover the hotel's elderly landladies engaged in an elegant lesbian debauch.

Over breakfast, Angeline refuses to believe that the English could be capable of any such passion. She shouts about how much she hates the English, and Jackie suddenly pulls the tablecloth from her table. While Geordie apologises for Jackie's behaviour, Angeline falls in love with him.

The next morning Geordie, Angeline, Jackie and Keith journey through the tunnel to France together. Meanwhile, left behind in England, Jean-Luc wanders the streets shouting at old ladies.
