Show full synopsis

This is the second outing for Lieutenant Pimple (the first was Lt Pimple on Secret Service, which doesn't survive) spoofing the adventure series of the day. In this film it is apparent that Fred Evans is no great physical comedian - a skating routine really doesn't compare favourably with the other comedians of the day, certainly not Max Linder or Chaplin. Brother Joe does a little better with an energetic series of tumbles when Fred shoots him in the backside thinking he is a polar bear. The humour is in the childishness, the absurdities and the juxtaposition between the pomposity of the heroic adventure film and the cheapness of the arctic set.
