Synopsis

The film describes in some detail the journey of Rosita Forbes across Abyssinia (Ethiopia) from January to March 1924 (possibly 1925).

River Hawash, Abyssinia. A convoy of people on donkeys emerges from a group of trees and cross a wide river the wide. The convoy has been travelling 15 days and has covered 270 miles.

Ankober, Abyssinia. The travellers, Forbes among them, arrive at the grand house of the Governor and are ceremoniously received. Forbes and entourage kneel on the ground as a token of respect.

Shots of native people in their village spinning and weaving cotton. Natives are fearful of the camera and run to their homes.

The travellers, some on foot, continue on their journey. They cross over a hilly ridge towards the capital.
