"ARMY TRANSPORT The difficulties of working under winter conditions are realised by our soldiers who are erecting a trestle bridge in the snow of the English Alps". Troops march past in the snow. Rolling large barrels into line. Barrels fixed to posts by ropes to make raft. This is dragged along and allowed to slide into river. Men crossing river on raft. Trestle bridge being constructed on other side of river. Various shots as supports are put up. Planks are laid down.
