"THE HUN'S CONSCIENCE The murderers of Nurse Cavell deem it necessary to show how they are regarded by the inhabitants of the countries they have invaded. 'A guilty conscience needs no accusing'". A Belgian woman, her husband and small daughter come out of their house with a German soldier who gives them assurances and chalks a message in German (stating that the people living there are 'good people') on the outside of the door, with the admiring approval of the family.
