"WEDNESBURY'S V.C. The Mayor and Corporation of Wednesbury give Sergt. J.T. Davies a civic welcome on his return to his native town"

Flash title. Sergt. Davies, in uniform, walks down some steps at Wednesbury railway station accompanied by two other men. He is greeted by a woman holding a bouquet of flowers and another older woman. He kisses them both. He poses with the Mayor, the lady holding the flowers and other officials at the foot of the steps. Slightly high angle shot of a parade through the town. A brass band, columns of soldiers bearing rifles walk through very dense crowds. Sergt. Davies (hardly seen) in the back of a horse-drawn carriage; rear view of the carriage processing through the crowds down a main street. People wave flags; union flags hang from windows.
