McIndoe's film show toured Scotland, where Lord Overtoun was a considerable landowner. This film fragment shows him and his lady visiting the show accompanied by showman and later theatrical impresario Arthur Henderson, who was working at the Fairground at this time. The traction engine, which powered the lights and the mechanical organ, is seen on the right hand side of the Bioscope booth. The elaborate frontage is revealed as two barefoot children walk past and we see a sign saying 'Finish and Goodnight' - presumably used to indicate the end of the show. This would seem to be a locally made film and was probably exhibited at the fairground. Bryony Dixon
